The project will be financed through an interest-free facility extended by China. The agreement was signed by Minister of State Mr. Ibrahim Thoaam Mohamed on behalf of the Maldives and Mr. Liu Junfeng, Vice Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), on behalf of China, alongside discussions on further grant aid cooperation to strengthen bilateral development ties.
