Maldives Expands Fisheries Export Ties with Sri Lanka

The Maldives has strengthened its fisheries and ocean resource partnership with Sri Lanka following the launch of Maldivian fish products in the Sri Lankan market. Speaking at the event, Minister Ahmed Shiyam highlighted that this development goes beyond trade, describing it as a reinforcement of long-standing ties between the two Indian Ocean neighbors. He emphasized shared cultural connections, commercial cooperation, and decades of goodwill as the foundation for deepening economic collaboration in the fisheries sector.
