Guided by President Mohamed Muizzu’s vision to deepen economic cooperation, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, in partnership with Invest Maldives and the High Commission of India in Maldives, convened the Maldives–India Business Engagement Series. The event brought together government and private sector leaders to strengthen trade and investment ties, foster partnerships, and advance a more dynamic economic relationship between the Maldives and India. The session concluded with the decision to establish a Maldives–India Business Council to institutionalize dialogue and support sustained private sector engagement.
