At the 52nd session of the Universal Periodic Review, the Maldives commended Niger for its efforts to promote and protect human rights through policies and programmes in education, water and sanitation, and women’s economic empowerment. The Maldives also recommended strengthening efforts to increase school enrolment at all levels, including primary education.
