Maldives Achieves Triple Elimination of Mother-to-Child Transmission

The Ministry of Health has announced that the Maldives has been recognized in 2025 for achieving triple elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B. The milestone reflects the strength of the country’s integrated maternal and child health systems, high service coverage, and sustained evidence-based interventions aimed at protecting mothers and newborns.
