Japan Donates USD 4.3 Million in Disaster Response Equipment to Strengthen Maldives’ Resilience

The National Disaster Management Authority has expressed sincere appreciation for the generous contribution of disaster response equipment valued at approximately USD 4.3 million from the Government of Japan under the Economic and Social Development Programme. The handover was formally conducted by H.E. Ishigami Rumiko and received by NDMA Chief Executive Mr. Hisan Hassan, strengthening national capacity in flood management and firefighting, particularly in outer island communities across the Maldives.
